“Nacho” Average Turkey Burger

  • Pickled Jalapenos: Combine water, vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic, and oregano in a saucepan over high heat. Bring mixture to a boil, stir in jalapeno peppers and remove from heat. Let mixture cook for 10 minutes. Pack peppers into jars using tongs, cover with vinegar mixture, cover, and refrigerate until needed.
  • Burgers: Preheat flat top grill to 350°F. Place frozen burgers on hot grill. Cook for a total of approximately 18 minutes, turning 3 times. Always cook to well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer.
  • Assembly: Place burger on bottom half of bun. Spread mustard on bun crown. Ladle queso over burger. Add pickled jalapenos, Pico, and tortilla strips. Place bun crown on top.


3/4  cup Water- Pickled Jalapenos
3/4  cup Distilled white vinegar-Pickled Jalapenos
3  tbls White sugar-Pickled Jalapenos
1  tbls Kosher salt-Pickled Jalapenos
1  clove Garlic, crushed-Pickled Jalapenos
1/2  tsp Oregano-Pickled Jalapenos
10  large Jalapeno peppers, sliced into rings-Pickled Jalapenos
1  each Burger bun, sliced and toasted
2  oz Queso cheese dip ( can used purchased or homemade)
1  tbls Pickled Jalapenos, drained
2  tbls Pico de Gallo
1/4  cup Crispy tortilla strips
